Sean Trueman, conference organizer, conducts this keynote session featuring Bishop Don Fletcher, Carol Lynn Pearson and Mitch Mayne. Sean begins the session by reading the Circling the Wagons Statement of Purpose. Bishop Fletcher speaks about the power of God, instances of discrimination within Mormonism and the importance of understanding that God loves all and that none should be cast out of our congregations. Carol Lynn reads her poem “Pioneers.” Mitch discusses the importance of not holding grudges, learning to have Christ–like love for our enemies, and building bridges between straight and LGBTQ/SSA Mormons. He concludes by imploring all to strive to be peacemakers.
